A recent article in The Herald reported that “200 houses on Harare Drive face demolition,” highlighting a dramatic case where local authorities threaten to demolish properties. However, the Constitutional Court’s landmark ruling—declaring that homes cannot be demolished without a court order—has thrown a wrench into the process.
